Founded in 1937, Plan International is a development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We strive for a just world, working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners.
Plan International operates in more than 50 developing countries to promote children’s right, through development projects on issues like health care, education, protection from violence, as well as empowerment and participation. Our work is financed by sponsorship and donations - in more than 20 countries.
Plan is an independent organisation, with no religious, political or governmental affiliations.

In a world designed for men, we put girls first
Plan calls for equal opportunities for all children. But gender inequality and discrimination against girls mean they are often robbed of their rights. We will not stop until girls can live, love and lead without fear or discrimination. This is why Plan puts girls first.
